What will my next project be about?

23 Feb 2024   10:00-12:00

The purpose of the workshop is to discuss ideas for project proposals you would like to get funded as a Principal Investigator (PI). If you plan to submit a grant proposal in the (near) future, this workshop will give you tips on how to communicate and highlight the strengths of ideas to potential funders. The target audience for this workshop is early career researchers (particularly Ph.D. students and postdocs) as well as junior and senior academic researchers.

You can contribute to the workshop by presenting your ideas or providing feedback to the presenters. If you decide to present at the workshop, please prepare an extended elevator pitch talk (5 to 10 minutes) in which you introduce:

* Your main idea and the funding call you would like to target,
* Why you find the topic interesting,
* Your core team and planned (international) collaborators,
* Why you, as PI, deserve to be funded.

If you choose not to present your ideas, you will be able to provide feedback on other proposals and ask questions to help the presenters sharpen their ideas and convey the main message(s) of their proposals. The meeting will be held in English (if there are participants who do not speak Czech) or, if no international colleagues are present, in Czech.
