Fakultní kolokvium: prof. Peter Schattschneider (TU Wien) - Highlights of EELS over the decades

Srdečně vás zveme na další fakultní kolokvium, které se bude konat ve středu 10. 4. 2019 od 15.30 hodin v místnosti B115 (Břehová 7, Praha 1). Hostem bude prof. Peter Schattschneider (TU Wien) s přednáškou Highlights of EELS over the decades. Půl hodiny před kolokviem se bude podávat čaj a káva.
Abstrakt:
Although first electron energy loss spectra were reported as early as 1904, the method began on lab-made instruments only in the 1940ies, developing over time to what is nowadays known as Electron Energy Loss Spectrometry (EELS), one of the most powerful tools in the Electron Microscope. In this talk an overview of the principles, some past and actual highlights, and a glimpse into the future of EELS will be given.
