Dr Lukas Chrpa presents Towards Deploying AI Planning in Applications

AI planning address the problem of finding a (partially ordered) sequence of
actions (a plan) transforming the environment for a given initial state to a
desired goal state. Planning is a deliberative process, which is an important
aspect of intelligent behaviour. A domain-independent planning engine accepts
domain model and problem description on the input and returns a plan in the
output, so there is no need to develop any domain-specific planning algorithm.
Designing and developing domain models is the key point. The domain has to be
specified first (in a consultation with domain experts) that provides a basis
for developing the effective and efficient domain model.
