Egle ULJAS:

Egle Uljas was born in Tallinn on the 18th of December in 1984. She entered the Tallinn Music High-School at the age of five and graduated in the year of 2004. She played as part of the graduation ceremony the Ravel Piano Concerto in G-Major with the TMKK Symphony Orchestra. She won the 1st and the 2nd price at the School of Music Piano Competitions in 2003 and 2004. In 2004, she participated in the Olympic Games in Athens, Greece, where she ran the Estonian Record in the 400m-s (51.91) and advanced to the semifinals. She has studied the piano under the guidance of Reet Ruubel, Alexandra Juozepenaite- Eesmaa in the Academy of Music in Tallinn. In the United States, she studied with Dr. Paul Barnes (the student of Menahem Pressler) at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and with Krassimira Jordan at Baylor University (the student of Stanislav Neuhaus and Emil Gilels). In Nebraska, she won the Concerto Competition and played the Ravel Piano Concerto in G-Major with UNL Symphony Orchestra. She has attended several masterclasses including Dang Thai Son's masterclass. Recently she has performed at the New York Estonian House, at the Estonian Honorary Council in Houston and at the Estonian Embassy in Prague. In 2011-2012 she was attending internship at HAMU in Prague under the guidance of Dr. Martin Kasik. She is the Estonian Record holder in 400m, 4x400m, indoors-600m, 600y, 800m, 1000m.
She has been coached by Liivi Eerik, Victors Lacis, Milovan Savic, Todd Harbour, Clyde Hart, Ian Pernica, Jarmila Kratochvilova and currently by Martina Blazkova. She is married and has a 2,5 year daughter.

Marek BYSTRAN:

Marek Bystran studies nuclear chemistry engineering at FJFI CTU. He?s played the piano since 4 years of age. Simultaneously with his secondary education, he externally completed State Conservatory in Bratislava under the guidance of Mgr.Art. Peter Pažický, Art.D., the leading Chopin repertoire interpreter in Slovakia and Slovak Piano Duo member. Marek has taken multiple masterclasses since childhood (1999) with geniuses such as Lazar Berman or György Sándor. Other knowledge was acquired from Valentina Berman, Paola Volpe, Ľudmila Kojanová, Marián Lapšanský and, more recently, Milan Langer (2009) as well as Oleg Vainshtein (2012). One of his best results was 4th Prize at Concorso Internazionale di Esecuzione Pianistica Agropoli, Salerno, Italy, 1999. He also won Prize of the Mayor of Košice at Košice International Piano Competition 2003 as the only Slovak contestant advancing to the finals. At national level, Marek won several gold and silver medals. Summer 2012 can also be mentioned, as he was awarded a diploma ?for enthusiasm and artistry? at the 2nd International Piano Competition for Excellent Amateurs ?Piano Bridges? in St. Petersburg, Russia.
