stručná anotace přednášky:
Biosensor has been in forefront research due to its wide range of applications such as in medical diagnostic, food inspections, environmental monitoring and many more. Biosensors can be defined as simple analytical device that combine high sensitivity and specificity of a biological molecule with the versatility of physical transducers to convert biological response into readable digital electronic signal. Typical biosensor consists of two parts which are a biological sensing element and a physical transducer. The sensor recognition element enables the selective response to a particular analytes, thus minimizing interferences from other sample components. The purpose of transducer is to convert biochemical signal into an electronic signal that can take many forms such as potentiometric, amperometric, optical, electrochemical and so on. The signal transduction and the general performance of biosensors are often determined by the surface architectures that connect the sensing element to the biological sample at the nanometer scale. With recent advances in nanotechnology, great progress on sensitivity and miniaturization has been made in biosensors based on nanomaterials and microfabrication techniques.
