Marathon of seminars - Ing. Antonín Komenda - Automated planning

17 Oct 2017   18:00-19:00

If we want the Artificial Intelligence to actually DO some good, it has to foresee what effects the actions it takes will have in the world. To formally solve such problem of foreseeing, we use algorithms of Automated Planning. Moreover, the most general variant of planning you will hear about at the seminar is applicable in wide variety of interesting domains as space exploration, logistics, manufacturing, robotics, or video games.
ANTONÍN KOMENDA : is an assistant professor at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at FEE, CTU and he undertook a year stay at Israel Institute of Technology - Technion as a post-doctoral researcher. Antonín focuses on classical and multiagent planning research, particularly methods and algorithms for distributed planning, robust planning and coordination. He is also a co-founder of a startup company providing automated planning in aeronautics.
