Science communication workshop: How to Start and Do It Effectively

How do you best communicate your research? Science communication has many forms and options; just choose the one you enjoy the most. However, the world of science and the media differ in many ways. It is good to know what (not) to do, how to prepare for an interview, and how to communicate effectively with various audiences.

Lecturer: Pavla Hubálková is a freelance science communicator. Originally, she wanted to become a scientist, so she studied clinical biochemistry at the University of Chemistry and Technology in Prague and completed her PhD in neuroscience at Charles University. During her Fulbright scholarship at Northwestern University in Chicago, however, she discovered that she wanted to work in science communication. She engages in various activities to explain scientific topics to the general public.
