Peter Sturm: A historical survey of geometric computer vision
13.04.2016 14:00
In this talk, a historical survey of geometric computer vision problems will be
presented, spanning roughly 300 years. It will visit concepts such as
shape-from-silhouettes / visual hull, epipolar geometry, trifocal matching
constraints, projective reconstruction, self-calibration, 3D modelling of
surfaces of revolution, 3D modelling using mirror reflections, and several
more.
Many of these were already studied in the 19th century or earlier.
