Srdečně vás zveme na další MAFIA Seminar. Pozvání přijal Julien Royer (Institut de Mathématiques de Toulouse), který bude mít přednášku na téma Local Energy Decay for the Asymptotically Periodic Damped Wave Equation. Seminář se koná v budově FJFI Trojanova 13, Praha 2 v místnosti T112.
Abstract: In this talk we will discuss the local energy decay for the damped wave equation in unbounded domains. We will focus on the case of an asymptotically periodic medium. The behavior of the contribution of low frequencies is particularly interesting. As already observed when the damping is effective at infinity, the wave behaves for large times like a solution of a heat equation. We will observe this phenomenon from a spectral point of view.
